Specialty Camps are a new segment of our Camp Shipshewana Progams.
This is only the 3rd year for this exciting schedule of camps.
Age: 8-12 yrs old

God made it all for us! Creation is a gift from God for humans to enjoy. But we also have a responsibility to take care of this gift. Dig into the book of Genesis to learn about creation. Explore many interesting nature activities that demonstrate the handiwork of God. Campers will spend up to four hours a day with this specific activity. The rest of the day will include many other favorite camp activities too. Campers will be involved in a daily bible lesson, worship, and devotions. Each day will conclude with a snack and Campfire.

What did God's children eat during bible times?Come to Cooking Camp to explore some of the foods talked about in the bible. Learn why certain foods were prepared for holy ceremonies and out of necessity. Search the scriptures for references of spices and why they were used. Enjoy an opportunity to prepare a receipe to cook indoors. Experience cooking outdoors over a fire, on a stick, wrapped in foil and in a cast iron pot. Activities will be focused around nutrition and healthy eating habits.Campers will spend up to four hours a day with this specific activity. The rest of the day will include many other favorite camp activities too. Campers will be involved in a daily bible lesson, worship, and devotions. Each day will conclude with a snack and Campfire.

Sports Camp

Do you enjoy sports?Wanna mix it up on the court, field, or in water? Then Sports Camp is for you! Enjoy many various sporting activities, contests & tournaments such as: tetherball, 1-on-1 & 3-on-3 basketball, a challenging obstacle course, swimming, beach-style volleyball, shuffleboard, ping pong, air hockey, soccer, boating races, archery, punt, pass & kick. Many opportunities for competitions as an individual and for teams. A fitness routine will begin the morning to help wake up the campers . . . and staff. The camp objective is to illustrate how we all have many talents to make up the body of Christ. We will also discuss the character habits for winning and losing. Campers will spend up to four hours a day with this specific activity. The rest of the day will include many other favorite camp activities too. Campers will be involved in a daily bible lesson, worship, and devotions. Each day will conclude with a snack and Campfire.

Take aim at the Bulls eye! Learn how to safely shoot a bow and arrow. Enjoy various games and challenges on the archery range. Campers will spend up to four hours a day with this specific activity. The rest of the day will include many other favorite camp activities too. Campers will be involved in a daily bible lesson, worship, and devotions. Each day will conclude with a snack and Campfire.

MAD Camp? Yep . . . that's what we are calling this unique camp created for campers seeking to develop their talents in music, art, and drama for worship events. Campers can choose two of the three fine arts areas to explore for a well rounded camp experience. Campers will spend up to four hours a day in activities related to music, art and drama. The rest of the day will include many other favorite camp activities too. Campers will be involved in a daily bible lesson, worship, and devotions. Each day will conclude with a snack and Campfire.

Credit Card payments may be made in four equal installments (February 28th, March 28th, April 28th, & May 28th). A non-refundable/transferable deposit of $100.00 will be retained for non payment or cancellation of registrations.
